Well last weekend saw Santo Stefano crew on the road to play Padova in what was a very important game to keep S.Stefano play off hopes alive. After a 5 hour transport and some time to chill out in the hotel and get ready for the game it was off to the court to get the game underway.

On arrival we were a bit taken back by the high school gym we saw which made half way line look like the 3pt line. But this was not a worry just that we were closer to the ring and not as far to push. After the jump ball it was apparent that this was not going to be a walk over victory and would take some more determination that what we started with to pull of the win.

Losing the first 2 quarters 12-10 and 18-13, had us down at half time by 7 points although the damage could have been a lot worse if Padova had converted more from the field. This was the time for some soul searching and to kick it up a notch.

As we returned to the court in the 3rd it became obvious that we had what it took to come out with the win, going 13- 21 and winning the quarter.

With the momentum and Padova in foul trouble losing 2 main players in the 3rd quarter S.Stefano continued pushing to the finish coming out victors 56-64. In a game that was one of the more aggressive we have experienced since starting here in September.
