Ciao Tutto!
Well I am back here in Italia after a great summer break in Australia. I had just over 2 weeks at home in the sun. The schedule was hectic to say the least but we covered a lot of ground with the family and friends. From house boat excursion on the Hawkesbury, to camping on Tuross Heads, to 30km Coastal walk in the Royal National Park. It was a great time and I am glad I had the opportunity to be home for Christmas and New Years celebrations.
I flew back into Roma yesterday and resting up at the moment working through jet lag and getting my place back in order. It was a big temperature change from 35 degrees to getting down below zero last night when I arrived. No hot water and heater took forever to get a bit of warmth into the place it was a long night to say the least. I am looking forward to getting back into practice and reuniting with the team. We have a long road ahead but if we keep heading in the same direction as the first half of season I think we can make some great achievements by the end of the season.
Our first game is at home this week against Vicenza, we our first win of the season on them away and hoping to repeat this performance at home this weekend.
I am looking forward to seeing more mates float through when I am over here this year. Already got some lined up. Mark is coming for his Euro adventure in 4 weeks time and staying here for 2months, 2 weeks which will be spent in Italia getting amongst it! Also got Parko in London and Bourkey in Paris (2 mates from school) so will definitely be keen to organise some missions with them.
I hope everyone had a great Chrissy and New Years, where ever this reaches you hope all is well. Would be great to hear from you and I will be keeping you all posted on the going ons of Italia and Porto Potenza Picena.
Ciao
Darren
